With the deepest sadness and on behalf of the Kaufman Center, his family and his beloved wife Jan, I have to communicate that Roger Kaufman passed away last night, during a surgical procedure.
Roger was a pioneer in the field of performance improvement, an original thinker, a creative and prodigiously productive writer and thinker that impacted many fields: education, performance technology, management, strategic thinking and lately societal performance. That said, it would only reflect a part of what Roger meant for those who were lucky to work, befriend or meet him: all these things came together with him and his life companion and solid rock, Jan.
The Kaufman Center -his latest creation- will announce a memorial meeting soon and continue with his legacy with a ceremony of dedication for the Kaufman Awards 2020.
That will be the time to expand in what we know, learned and shared with Roger. Kaufman Center will invite all of those who worked with Roger to share their experiences and lessons.
There is one important thing that we can all keep in mind as we mourn the man, friend, colleague: Roger lived his life in the future. He's still there and always be, for those who commit to get closer to his Ideal Vision
Here's Roger once more at the inaugural of the Kaufman Center (Roger starts at 13:36 in the recording track below)
