A global network for the Americas

We started as MB&A Formacion y Desarrollo in Argentina, back in 1987. We grew from a small group into one of the leading management consulting firms in the country, with Fortune 500 and startup clients.

Back on those days, we started one of our first communities turnaround project in Northwest Argentina with Roger Kaufman in what became known as the Refinor case.

Back in the pioneering days of the Internet. we chartered the first Virtual and Bilingual Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), the PIGNC, currently operating with partners across the Americas ane Europe.

In 1999, we incorporated as MBC Consulting Co. in the United States and our partnership included a top-rated roster of ISPI, ASTD and AMA experts such as Roger Kaufman, Dean Spitzer, Dale Brethower, Geary Rummler, Roger Addison, John Lazar, Lynn Kearny and many others that participated in our projects and activities in US, Latin America and Europe.

We started as management and coaching specialists and gradually expanded -always following our leading clients initiatives- into value chains, international business and, in the past 15 years, communities and cities' transformation.

The past is prologue, goes the much quoted saying, and in our case, it prologues a new structure that includes two new divisions specialized in new consulting areas:

1. INCUBATION AND ACCELERATION:

The Performance Improvement Institute (PII, www.piionline.org, www.imdonline.org) that started as the first PhD and MBA program in social and organizational performance in Mexico, then sponsored by the Sonora Institute of Technology (ITSON) -still one of our staunchest partners- and expanded into an international program for graduating new organizations and value chains.

It also presented a plan for the transformation of Colon City, Panama, launching a new program we baptized "City Doctors".

2. EDUCATION AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH STRATEGIC CLIENTS WORLDWIDE:

As our clients in emerging countries seek to go global with like-minded partners, we started partnering with Mega-focused, socially committed industry leaders such as Whole Planet Foundation, Starbucks Foundation, Google Labs and Google Apps, Grameen Bank, Habitat for Humanity and top universities such as MIT Labs, University of Chicago Booth School off Business and Polsky Center for Innovation, University of Wisconsin/Madison, Georgetown University and innovation centers in our base countries in Latin America: Mexico, Panama, Colombia and Argentina and the European Union, Spain and ISPI EMEA, covering also the Middle East and Africa.

We are also working on joint ventures with USAID, IDB and other international organizations that -like our strategic clients- think that in the long run, organizations, vakue chains and countries can only do well by doing good, because the source of all sustainable return are prosperous and happy clients and communities.

So this is a good opportunity to thank you all -partners and colleagues all over the world- for 16 years of working together in worthy projects that created jobs and better workplaces for thousands around the Americas,

And also for all those willing to offer their skills to make a difference for others, to join us in future projects.

I invite you all to visit our new website in the making @ www.expert2business.com.
